Block Cleaning

Keeping residents’ blocks clean, safe and a pleasure to live in is driving force behind what we do. And because we directly employ all our own cleaning staff, the same people clean the same areas week after week, month after month.

 

This not only means that they take personal ownership for the blocks they clean, but that they can also build up a rapport with managing agents and residents. So as well as doing things ‘the right way’, we do things the way you and your residents want them done. Each time. Every time.

It is important when deciding on which cleaning and maintenance firm to use to be clear from the outset what the job specification is and what you will be getting for your investment in your property. 

A typical block cleaning and maintenance specification looks like this:

 

 

Weekly

 

Internal

  • Vacuum carpets

  • Sweep and wash uncarpeted floor areas

  • Dust skirtings, banisters, window frames and sills

  • Dust light fittings and ledges as necessary

  • Wipe dirty marks from staircase walls and painted surfaces as necessary

  • Remove unwanted advertising material/junk mail from premises

  • Check lightbulbs and replace if necessary

  • Clean metal and glass finish surfaces to the lift car

 

External

  • Sweep external entrance porches

  • Sweep out bin store and apply disinfectant as necessary

  • Clear car parking area of litter

  • Check lightbulbs and replace if necessary

 

Monthly

 

Internal

  • Wash/wipe nosings on carpeted stairs

  • Clean internal windows to staircases and hallways

 

External

  • Clean windows using Tucker Pole pure water system

 

 

 

Annually 

 

 

Internal

  • Wash down paintwork

  • Steam clean carpets in communal areas and lifts

 

External

  • Jet wash waste bins/paladins

 

 

Ongoing

Time switches

  • Adjust time switches for summer/winter operation

 

Reporting

  • Report matters relevant to cleaning, maintenance and security to the managing agents or block contact
